Polly's father was Dr. Charles Scott Venable and her mother was Madge Josephine Bonney. Her paternal grandparents were Colonel Charles Scott Venable and Mary Martha Southall. She had three sisters named Frances Page, Madge and Natalie Jean.General Notes
Educated in the Mulholland and St. Mary's Hall Schools in San Antonio,
Texas and Sweetbriar College of Virginia, married Julius Barclay, vice
president of the National Bank of Commerce in San Antonio, Texas.
