Howell Lewis Read 
Howell Lewis was born on June 29th, 1826. Howell Lewis' father was Charles Lewis Read and his mother was Jane Boyd. His paternal grandparents were Colonel Jonathan Read and Jane Lewis; his maternal grandparents were William Boyd and Frances Bullock. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William Boyd, Jonathan, Edmund, Charles Lewis, James Daniel, Harvey Boyd, Jane Eliza, Lucy Frances and Mildred Ann. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Isaac Henry, Nancy, Priscilla Margaret, Susan Elizabeth Margaret and Helen Louise.-
