Isaac was born in 1633.  Isaac's father was John Jacob and his mother was Alice Golder.  His paternal grandparents were John Jacob and Joan Lucas; his maternal grandfather was John, Esq., Mayor of Dover Golder. He had two brothers named Captain John and Sir Abraham, Governor of Walmer Castle.  He was the youngest of the three children.
