Sarah was born on February 12th, 1773. Sarah's father was Samuel Goode and her mother was Mary Collier. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Goode and Miss Burwell; her maternal grandparents were John Collier and Elizabeth Mededith. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Philip, Gaines, Samuel, Lieutenant John, U.S.A., Burwell, Dr. Henry Jones, Nancy, Lucy, Elizabeth and Susanna. She was the third oldest of the eleven children.General Notes
