Jeremiah's father was John V Gaither and his mother was Ann Jacob. His maternal grandparents were Jeremiah Jacob and Rachel Gaither. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Greenbury, John, Thomas Jacob, Ary, Ary, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Rachel, Rachel and Sarah.-
