General Basil Wilson was born on May 28th, 1828 in Georgetown, Scott Co., Ky. General Basil Wilson's father was General Nathanial Wilson Duke and his mother was Mary Currie. His paternal grandparents were Doctor Basil Duke and Charlotte Marshall; his maternal grandparents were James Currie and Caroline Pickett. He was an only child. He died at the age of 88 on September 16th, 1916 in New York City, New York.-
