Her maternal grandparents were Beverly H. Phillips and Martha Richardson. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John Franklin, Jr., M. Edward, Clarence Lewis, Sarah M. "Sallie" and Ola J.. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 93 on August 6th, 1970 in Winamac, Pulaski County, Indiana. She was buried in Sharpsville, Tipton County, Indiana.General Notes
