John Ferguson Butler 
John Ferguson was born on September 2nd, 1785 in Amelia County, Virginia. John Ferguson's father was William Butler and his mother was Martha Farley. He had a brother and two sisters, named Joseph Farley, Sophia and Amelia. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 24 on July 20th, 1810 in Natchez Trace/Natchez, Tennessee.General Notes

"John Ferguson, the oldest son, apparently did not marry, and died under circumstances not now known. The family Bible gives only the date and place -- Natchez T. -- which could be Trace or Tennessee."
