Richard Shipp 
Richard was born in 1725 in St. Anne's Parish, Virginia. Richard's father was Thomas Shipp and his mother was Elizabeth Doniphan. His paternal grandparents were Josiah Shipp and Elizabeth Brookes; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Doniphan and Margaret Mott. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John and Sarah. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 56 on August 20th, 1781 in Culpeper, Virginia.-
