John Shipp 
John was born in 1729 in St. Anne's Parish, Virginia. John's father was Thomas Shipp and his mother was Elizabeth Doniphan. His paternal grandparents were Josiah Shipp and Elizabeth Brookes; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Doniphan and Margaret Mott. He had two brothers and a sister, named Richard, Thomas and Sarah. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 49 on March 4th, 1778 in Fauquier, Virginia.-
