William Comyn 
William was born in 1217 in Altyre, Morayshire, Scotland. William's father was William Comyn and his mother was Margaret Countess of Buchen Buchan. His paternal grandparents were Richard Comyn and Hextilda Tynedale; his maternal grandparents were Fergus Earl of Buchen Buchan and Mrs. Buchan. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Alexander, Fergus, Idonea, Elizabeth and Agness. He was the second oldest of the six children.-
