Alexander Comyn 
Alexander was born in 1217 in Buchan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Alexander's father was William Comyn and his mother was Margaret Countess of Buchen Buchan. His paternal grandparents were Richard Comyn and Hextilda Tynedale; his maternal grandparents were Fergus Earl of Buchen Buchan and Mrs. Buchan. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Fergus, Idonea, Elizabeth and Agness. He was the oldest of the six children.-
