Mauhaut was born in of Perche, Normandy.1 Mauhaut's father was Geoffrey de Mortaigne Ct de Perche & Mortaigne and her mother was Beatrice de Montdidier. Her paternal grandparents were Routrou I de Montague Vct de Chateaudun and Adeline de Domfront; her maternal grandparents were Hildouin IV de Montdidier Ct de Roucy and Adelaide Alice de Roucy. She had two sisters named Marguerite and Julienne. She died on May 18th, 1143.1 General Notes
