Benjamin was born in 1679 in PA.1   Benjamin's father was Joseph Yard and his mother was Mary Salisbury.  His paternal grandparents were George Yarde and Elizabeth Pearse. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, William, John, James, George, Mary and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 53 in 1732 in , Chester, PA.1
