Sarah was born in 1700 in Lyme, New London, CT. Sarah's father was Isaac Willey and her mother was Rose Bennett. Her paternal grandparents were John Willey and Miriam Moore; her maternal grandparents were Henry Bennett and Sarah Champion. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Isaac, John, Abel, Ephraim, Zachariah, Hannah, Rachel, Meriam, Dorothy and Deborah. She was the second oldest of the eleven children.-
