John Somers Van Gilder 
John Somers was born in 1825 in Cape May Co, NJ.1 John Somers' father was Thomas French Van Gilder and his mother was Sarah Garwood. His paternal grandparents were John Van Gilder and Lydia French. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Thaddeus, Thomas, Emeline, Sara Ann and Leonora. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 77 in 1902 in TN.1 -
