John Van Gilder

John was born on August 22nd, 1770.¹   John's father was Isaac Van Gilder and his mother was Mary Thompson.  His paternal grandparents were Johannes Van Gilder and Elizabeth Adams. He had three brothers named Isaac, James and Ezekial.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 56 in 1826.¹
