Thankful was born on August 27th, 1663 in Northampton, Hampshire, MA. Thankful's father was Isaac Sheldon and her mother was Mary Woodford. Her paternal grandparents were Ralph Sheldon and Barbara Stone; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Woodford and Mary Blott. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Isaac, John, Thomas, Ebenezer, Samuel, Joseph, Ebenezer, Mary, Ruth, Mindwell, Hannah and Mercy. She had a half-brother named Johnathan. She died at the age of 78 on October 20th, 1741 in Northampton, Hampshire, MA.-
