Blanche Matilda was born on August 15th, 1915 in Fortier, Manitoba, Canada. Blanche Matilda's father was Arthur Alexander Miller and her mother was Georgina Ann Irvine. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Irvine and Mary Ann Smirl. She had four sisters named Grace Muriel, Viola May, Margaret Ailleen and Esther May. She was the second youngest of the five children.-
