John Taylor Hurlbut

John Taylor was born in 1819 in Hanover, Grafton, NH.¹   John Taylor's father was David Hurlbut and his mother was Gratia Taylor. He had two brothers and five sisters, named David, Elihu, Gratia, Betty, Mary, Betsey and Hannah.  He was the youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Nathaniel.  He died at the age of 56 in 1875.¹
