Jabez Hotchkiss

Jabez was born in 1729.¹   Jabez's father was Jacob Hotchkiss and his mother was Elizabeth Dickerman.  His paternal grandparents were Joshua Hotchkiss and Hannah Tuttle. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Timothy, Elijah, Abraham, Jacob, Martha, Elizabeth, Mary and Abigail.  He was the oldest of the nine children.
