Stanley Benson was born in 1908. Stanley Benson's father was Thomas David Hamilton and his mother was Eliza Ann Docksteader. His paternal grandparents were William Hamilton and Sarah May Irvine. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Wellington, Earl David, Annie Mae and Lillian Jane. He was the third oldest of the five children.-
