Katherine was born about 1526 in Bisley, Gloucester, England. Katherine's father was Roger Fowler and her mother was Joanna Harmon. Her paternal grandfather was William Fowler. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, William, Giles, Henry, Francis, Roger, Alice, Elizabeth and Agnes. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children.-
