Henry was born about 1523 in Bisley, Gloucester, England. Henry's father was Roger Fowler and his mother was Joanna Harmon. His paternal grandfather was William Fowler. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, William, Giles, Francis, Roger, Katherine, Alice, Elizabeth and Agnes. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.-
