Adalbert de Lorraine was born in 1000 in Lorraine, France.1 Adalbert de Lorraine's father was Gerard de Metz Ct de Metz and his mother was Gisela de Alsace. His maternal grandfather was Hugh III Ct de Alsace. He had a brother named Gerard II de Lorraine. He died at the age of 48 in 1048 in Battle of Thuim.1
