Johanna de Munchesni was born in 1225 in of Swanscombe, Kent, England.1 Johanna de Munchesni's father was Warine de Munchesni II Lord Swanscombe and her mother was Johanna (Joan) Marshal. Her paternal grandfather was Hugh de Munchesni; her maternal grandparents were William Marshal Earl of Pembroke and Isabel de Clare Cts de Strigoil. She was an only child.
