Phoebe was born on January 2nd, 1755 in Turkey Point, Cumberland, NJ.1 Phoebe's father was David Casto and her mother was Phoebe Gandy. Her paternal grandparents were William Casto and Elizabeth Abbott; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Gandy and Unknown Gandy. She had three brothers and four sisters, named David, John Jackson, William, Catherine, Hannah, Elizabeth and Sarah. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 97 on January 2nd, 1852 in , Jackson, WV.1 -
