John Cary 
John was born on May 12th, 1777.1 John's father was Nathaniel Cary and his mother was Sarah Sargent. His paternal grandparents were Jabez Cary and Hannah Hendee. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Barzillia, Asa, Eleazer, Jerusha and Hannah. He was the second youngest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Nathaniel, Prosper, Persis, Mary, Delight, Dorcas, Lucretia, Sibel and Sarah.-
