Abel Cary 
Abel was born in 1823 in , Shelby, OH.1 Abel's father was Ephraim Cary and his mother was Abigail Watson. His paternal grandparents were Ezra Cary and Lydia Thompson. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named William, James, Shepherd, Ezra, Daniel, Ephraim, John Marion, David W, Phebe, Mary, Keziah, Lavina, Lydia and Rhoda. He was the sixth youngest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 77 in 1900 in Hastings, Mills, IA.1 -
