Thankful Atherton 
Thankful was born in 1644.1 Thankful's father was Humphrey Atherton and her mother was Mary Wales. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Atherton and Mary Rudd; her maternal grandparents were John Wales and Unknown Resamond. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Jonathan, Increase, Consider, Hope, Watching, Catherine, Elizabeth, Isabel, Mary, Margaret, Rest and Patience. She was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 75 in 1719.1
