Myrtis Halfacre
Newberry - Services for Myrtis Frick Halfacre, 68, of 144 Bethel Church
Road, Prosperity, will be 2 p.m. Friday at The Lutheran Church of The
Redeemer with burial in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be
6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be
made to church or the charity of one's choice.
Mrs. Halfacre died Feb. 19, 1997. Born in Little Mountain, she was a
daughter of the late David O. and Eula Boland Frick. She received an
associate degree in business from Newberry College and was a retired
employee of Newberry County. Mrs. Halfacre was a member of AARP and the
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer where she served in numerous capacities
for a number of years.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas M. Halfacre; her son and
daughter-in-law, Thomas Randall and Angela S. Halfacre of Lexington; her
daughter and son-in-law, Harriett H. and Jerry M. Haltiwanger of
Newberry; a brother, Homer B. Frick of Greenville; a sister, Irene F.
Lindler of Chapin; five grandchildren.
