John L. Livingston I was bornprior to 1749 in Baden, Germany, and was
the oldest son. He was a Revolutionary War Soldier and was discharged for militia duty in Water's Regiment on April 29, 1786 after the fall of Charlestown and Anderson's return. He married Margaret Sligh in 1768.
She was born in Germany in 1749 and died after 1800. They had 8 sons and several daughters
