Henry de Bohun, b. 1176, sheriff of Kent, 5th earl of Hereford , 1200, Hereditary Constable of England, Magna Charta Surety, 12 15, d. on a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, 1 June 1220; m. Maud Fi tz Geoffrey de Mandeville, d. 27 Aug 1236, and after Henry's dea th, Countess of Essex, dau. of Geoffrey FitzPiers (see also 246B -27), d. 1213, 4th Earl of Essex, and his (1) wife Beatrice de S ay, dau. of William de Say. She m. (2) Roger de Daunteseye, d . aft. 1238, div. 1232.
