Not tall, but middle sized, stout, and strong, light brown hair, and red
and white complexion. His eyes were particularly fine, beautiful and
piercing, so that one was afraid to look him in the face when he was
angry. Olaf was very expert in all bodily exercies, understoon well how
to handle to bow, and to throw the spear; he was a great swimmer, and
hand at smith's work. [Ref: Watney #745]

1013: while yet a pagan, came to England and helped King Aethelred in his
struggle against the Danes; he returned to Norway a convert to
Christianity, with priests, and monks for converting his people, but his
people drove him into exile and killed him at Drontheim in 1030 [Ref: Watney
