Mrs. Bertha Ballentine

Mrs. Bertha Shealy Ballentine, 81, of 2823 Broad River Road, died
Thursday in the Lowman Home.

She was the widow of John William Ballentine and was born in Little
Mountain, a daughter of the late John Anderson and Happy Rachel Boland
Shealy. She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church and the Lutheran
Church Women.

Surviving are three sons, J.F. Ballentine of Atlanta, Ga., A.W.
Ballentine of Wilmington, Del., and R.A. Ballentine of Columbia; four
sisters, Mrs. Jacob Long and Mrs. H.C. Clark of Little Mountain, Mrs.
W.C. Koon of Chapin and Mrs. G.E. Lever of Columbia; and a brother, M.C.
Shealy of Columbia.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrews Lutheran
Church, conducted by the Rev. Robert W. Carswell.

Pallbearers will be J.W. Taylor, J.E. Shealy, W.L. Mont, J.A. Free, J.M.
Buford and D.H. Sandel.

Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel, is in charge.

The family suggested that those who wish may make memorials to St.
Andrews Lutheran Church or the Lowman Home.
