John PARLER, Leonard RAST & John HOFFMAN settled in S.C. in 1778, being Protestant they petitioned to the Church of England for land; it was granted Feb. 29, 1788, given 150-300 acres apiece. He and wife may be buried in The Lutheran Trinity Church near Lone Star (the Methodist Church, Old Jerusalum swapped churches with the Lutheran Trinity Church).
