J.C. Shealy

Newberry -- Services for J.C. Shealy, 87, of 7208 S.C. Highway 395, will
be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer by
the Rev. Richard Albert. Interment will be in Newberry Memorial
Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Michael Meetze, Howard E. Meetze,
Leroy Wessinger, Bernard Metts and Carroll Wessinger. memorials may be
made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer Evangelism Outreach Program.
P.O. Box 382, Newberry, SC 29108. Whitaker Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Shealy died Sunday, July 2, 2000 at the J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
Born in Newberry, he was a son of the late Henry L. and Alice L. Fulmer
Shealy. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Lutheran Church
of the Redeemer and the Men's Bible Class.

Surviving are his sister, Katie L. Shealy of Newberry; great-nieces, Lucy
Ann Meetze of Newberry, Kate Wilson, Alice Shealy, both of Columbia,
Lucinda Quick of Piedmont; great-nephew, Luther F. Shealy III of Kansas.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ethel Shealy; brothers, Virgil Shealy, L.
Floyd Shealy Sr.; niece Ann Shealy Haile; nephew, L. Floyd Shealy Jr.
