Enoree Lake

Prosperity -- Services for Enoree Metze Lake, 92, formerly of 1417 Stoney
Hill Road, Prosperity, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter
Lutheran Church with burial in church cemetery. The family will receive
friends 7-8:30 tonight at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be
made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 900 Dreher Island Road, Chapin, SC
29036.

Mrs. Lake, widow of Herman Eugene Lake, died Sunday at White Oak Manor in
Newberry. Born in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late John
Quincy and Bessie Agnes Lindler Metze. She was a lifetime member of St.
Peter Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Fellowship Circle of
the WELCA and the Prime Timers.

Surviving are her daughter, Heyward (Gaynell) Amick of Prosperity; sons,
Alton E. Lake and his wife, Ruby, John David Lake and his wife, Bertha,
Larry M. Lake and his wife, Emily, all of prosperity; sisters, Clara
Henderson of White Rock, Ola Mae Long of Little Mountain; brother, Elbert
Metze of Columbia; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Lake was predeceased by three brothers,
J.C. Metze, Harold Metze, Ray Metze; two half-sisters, Olive Neely,
Geneva Farler.
