Stuart gives wives as: [1] Ermentrude of Orleans [2] Richardis o f Metz, dau. of Budwine

There were NOT two daughters named Roheut and Rothilde - they we re the same person. As best I can tell, this solution was sugges ted by Depoin, where it was picked up by Moriarty, and from hi m Sheppard. The problem is that Rotilde didn't marry Hugh. Sh e married Roger, Count of Maine (as shown by Werner), who wa s a kinsman of Hugh. Thus, as presented by Keats-Rohan, in he r recent article on the early 'Hugonid' Counts of Maine, it is l ikely that Richilde wife of Thibaud was daughter of Roger and Ro thilde.
