Leon Laverle "Buddy" was born on January 23rd, 1945 in Lexington County, South Carolina.1 Leon Laverle "Buddy"'s father was Thomas A. Wingard and his mother was Edith Lorrain Shealy. His maternal grandparents were George Marion Shealy and Sally Eunice Leaphart. He had a brother and two sisters, named M. Keith, Living and Living. He died at the age of 17 on March 3rd, 1962. He was buried in Beulah Methodist Cemetery, Gilbert, South Carolina.1 1 -
