Louis was born about 1019.1 Louis' father was Richwin Count Of Scarpons and his mother was Hildegarde. His paternal grandfather was Louis I De Mousson, UnderCount Of Bar; his maternal grandparents were Hugh IV Of Egisheim, Count Of The Lower Alsace and Heilwig. He was an only child.
