Lela Adell (Ada) McKenzie 
Lela Adell (Ada) was born on July 12th, 1876 in Homer, Louisiana.1 Lela Adell (Ada)'s father was David Lacy McKenzie and her mother was Martha Jane Shaw. Her maternal grandparents were David Alexander Shaw and Sarah A. Kinard. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Augustus (Gustave) David, George Authur, Mary Alberta (Berta), Lula, Lillie, Florence, Lena and Willie Blondelle. She was the oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 78 on April 21st, 1955 in Springhill, Louisiana.1 -
