Julius Franklin was born on July 16th, 1847 in Anderson County. Julius Franklin's father was Elias McGee and his mother was Sara Ann Landrum. His paternal grandparents were Jesse McGee and Kitchin; his maternal grandparents were Reubin Landrum and Clarissa Head. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Warren Reuben, Jesse Adolphus, Elias Judson, James W., Miles Hardy, Augustus, George Wynburn, Sarah Josephine Ariana Clarissa, Nancy Carolina Frances, Lola and Martha Ann. He died at the age of 45 on June 4th, 1893 in Columbia, SC.General Notes

Died in Sc State Hospital, Columbia, SC
Suffered from mental illness after civil war
