Ebles' father was Ranulf II and his mother was Ermengarde. His paternal grandparents were Ranulf I and [unknown]. He was an only child. He died in 0932.1 General Notes

Also known as Ebalus the Bastard. Interestingly, Mancer is fro m the Hebrew word "Mamzer" which means specifically the child o f a married woman by a man other than her husband. Yet all sourc es show him as the son of his mother's husband, Ranulf.
