Thomas was born in 1593 in Otley, Suffolk, England/Otley, England.1 Thomas' father was Thomas Keene and his mother was Elizabeth Gosnold. His maternal grandparents were Robert Gosnold and Ursula Noventon. He was an only child. He died in Northumberland Co, VA.1 General Notes
He was mil_serv May have served in VA militia under Col. Wm. Clayborne near West Point, VA. He was Planter & cooper. Possibly a merchant. He Prob. one of original settlers of Kent Island (near mouth of the Potomoc) in 1631. He A record shows that Thomas was one of 23 men who were transported to St. Mary's Co, MD, by Capt. George Evelin to seat the manor of Evelinton on 30 Apr 1638. He emigrated in 1644 from to Northumberland Co, VA. He lived in 1648 Living in St. Marys Co, MD. He lived on 9 Dec 1650 Cherry Point, Northumberland Co, VA. He Granted 527 acres in Northumberland Co by VA Gov. Richard Bennett, Esq on 13 Dec 1653.[SUSANNA KEENE.FTW]
