Sarah Marjorie's father was Charles Simpson Huffstetler and her mother was Mary Amick. Her maternal grandparents were Adam Amick and Jane Cummins Shealy. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Wilbur Theron, Ellis Connell, Emma Julia, Nannie Lucile, Sadie Cleo, Edith Elizabeth and Ethel Gertrude. She had a half-sister named Alice Maquilla.-
