Scott's father was Marshall Hook and his mother was Maury Sease. His maternal grandparents were Josiah Richard Wesley Sease and Frances M Rawl. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Ambrose, Killian, Richard, Mrs. Quinton and Mrs. Jessie.-
