Gertrudis' father was Hugh IV Of Egisheim, Count Of The Lower Alsace and her mother was Heilwig. Her paternal grandfather was Hugh III Count Of Eqisheim; her maternal grandfather was Louis Count Of Dagsburg. She had a brother and two sisters, named Gerhard II, Hildegarde and Hildegarde.
