Simon was born about 1026 in Montfort, Normandy, France.1 Simon's father was Amauri III de Montfort and his mother was Bertrade De GOMMETZ. His paternal grandfather was William de Hainault; his maternal grandfather was Guillaume de Gometz. He had a brother named Simon I. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Simon III, Simon de Montfort and Agnes. He died on September 25th, 1087. He was buried in Epernon, Normandy.1 1 General Notes
