Sir De CLARE, Earl Of Hertford And Glouceste 
Sir was born about 1180.1 Sir's father was Richard De CLARE, Lord Of Clare, MC Surety and his mother was Amice MEULANT, Countess Of Gloucester. His paternal grandparents were Roger De CLARE, Earl Of Hertford and Maud St. HILLARY; his maternal grandparents were William MEULLANT, Earl Of Gloucester and Hawise DeBEAUMONT. He was an only child. He died on October 25th, 1230 in Penros, Brittany.1 General Notes
